Hi,
Happy Spring to you, at last! With so much snow and rain in recent weeks, our garden is loving this moisture! :)
This is Yasu, the instructor of the Sushi Making Class. I hope you still remember the fun you had at the class you attended.
Dining Out Magazine recently wrote a story about our class - http://diningout.com/denverboulder/sushi-class-at-izakaya-den/
We have also been hosting a Monthly Sake Pairing Dinner, and I was your host.
Here is another story written about our dinner, http://diningout.com/denverboulder/sake-pairing-dinner-in-denver/
In any case, quite many of you have asked me to share the Gastronomic Tour to Japan I have been organizing. This is something I personally do to have fun with good friends and good people.
I have two tours scheduled this October! The first one is October 10-19, 2016, and another one October 19-28, 2016, traveling with me to Tokyo and Kyoto. I plan to share some of my favorite restaurants and different types of Japanese cuisine with you. We have a full schedule of sightseeing and dining all planned! There are still a few spots left on each tour and I would love to have you join me!

Why October 2016 is the best time for foodies to come to Japan….
- First of all, we now have a direct flight to Tokyo from Denver via United Airlines DreamLiner. It takes just about 12 hours to get there and 9 hours 30 minutes to come back. How convenient this is!
- Secondly, I am not sure if you have been aware of this. The world famous Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo is the largest one in the world with many wholesalers and retailers clustered in a large warehouse with cobblestone paths. It certainly has character and atmosphere and has been there for 80 years. Japanese love this iconic market! However, the auction area of the fish market as well as the vegetable market is moving to a new, bigger location - a few miles away - in early November.
- So, if you would like to see this historic market for the last time, you should do the tour by this October!
Please let me know if you are interested. I will send you the itinerary and more information.
Thank you very much.
Sincerely,
Yasu Kizaki
